The Health Intervention of Victims Support Fund

Since 2015, The Nigeria Foundation for the Support of Victims of Terrorism (VSF) has been administering support to victims of insurgency especially in the North East Nigeria through education and protection for children; economic empowerment for women victims of insurgency; agro based intervention for returnee households; reconstruction of public buildings devastated by the insurgency; and support to hospitals for the free treatment of victims of Bomb blasts and armed attacks.

VSF works in collaboration with Government agencies, Institutions and the civil society to drive the actualization of its mandate through advocacy, resource mobilization, capacity building and monitoring of the outcomes of its interventions.

Since inception, VSF identified 16 hospitals for the delivery of free medical treatment to victims, and has provided support for acquisition of medical equipment and consumables to enhance adequate coverage for the teeming population of victims requiring treatment.
