VICTIMS SUPPORT FUND DISTRIBUTES 3600 LIVESTOCK TO HOUSEHOLDS IN THE NORTHEAST

In continuation of the execution of its 2019/2020 Agro Support Projects in the Northeast, Victims Support Fund (VSF) on 4th February 2020 commenced the distribution of 3600 goats targeting affected households in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) States. The project is designed to enhance access to agricultural resources for food production and livelihood support.

This intervention targets households in Kwayakusa LGA in Borno, Maiha LGA in Adamawa, and Fika and Potiskum LGA’s in Yobe States. VSF is collaborating with the States’ FADAMA III project, Ministry of Agricultural Resources, Ministry of Livestock and Agricultural Development Programme to ensure the provision of routine veterinary services to the benefitting households. This will increase productivity and ensure the health of the livestock.

Each household will receive three (3) females and one (1) male goat, in order to ensure maximum productivity, all of the livestock have been examined and duly inoculated to prevent the outbreak of any diseases and to ensure compliance with specifications.
