VICTIMS SUPPORT FUND DONATES N40 MILLION TO TWO HOSPITALS IN ADAMAWA STATE

Victims Support Fund (VSF) in continuation of its mandate to bring succour to victims of Insurgency has donated N40 million naira to General Hospital Michika and General Hospital Mubi. This donation was necessitated by the recent spate of attacks in the areas and the low capacity of the hospitals to deliver the necessary emergency medical support required by the casualties.

At the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Adamawa State Government, the Executive Director Dr. Sunday Ochoche explained that VSF had previously supported the State Specialist Hospital Yola and Federal Medical Centre Yola among other interventions which include Women Economic Empowerment, Education Support, Foster Care (Protection) and the planned reconstruction of public buildings in Michika.  The Governor expressed gratitude for the work that VSF is doing in the State and looked forward to a more fruitful partnership.

This brings the total number of Adamawa hospitals supported by VSF to four (4). The funds provided by VSF is for the provision of free medical treatment to victims of terrorism, procurement of medication and medical consumables and some equipment and to increase the capacity of the hospitals to cater to patients.
