Victims Support Fund Donates Relief Materials to National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons
The VSF Task Force on COVID-19 commenced the third phase of the intervention on Wednesday 25th November 2020. The third phase was flagged off in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the office of the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons and the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS).
The VSF Task Force on COVID 19 which was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Victims Support Fund, Gen TY Danjuma RTD was mandated to provide palliative measures to Internally Displaced Persons and the vulnerable as well as institutions and agencies involved in the fight against COVID 19. The National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) and NCWS were identified to receive food, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) and non-food items as part of VSFs Institutional support to agencies supporting the efforts to fight Covid 19.

The entire third phase intervention cost one billion naira only (1,000,000,000) while the donation to the NCFRMI and the NCWS cost thirty-six million naira only (36,000,000) respectively.
The VSF continues to work to provide relief to victims of insurgency and armed conflict in Nigeria especially in the core areas of livelihood and recovery, education and protection, infrastructural development, research and peacebuilding.
