VICTIMS SUPPORT FUND FLAGS-OFF ITS 2019 EDUCATION SUPPORT PROJECT IN BORNO, ADAMAWA AND YOBE STATES

Victims support fund [VSF] has been working since 2015 to administer support services to victims of insurgency in Northeast Nigeria.

The Educational sector is one of the areas that has suffered during the wake of insurgency in North-eastern Nigeria thereby leaving many children out of school in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States.

In continuation of the interventions of VSF in affected communities, The Victims Support Fund is flagging off its 2019 Education support project in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states on Thursday 17th October, 2019.

 

The focus of this project is to Improve the quality of Education of   in school children, to support and facilitate access to learning materials and to strengthen the capacity of teachers.

This project will support about 49,000 pupils and training of 1000 teachers across the three states. Educational materials to be distributed include textbooks, bags, exercise books, sandals, pencils, biros, eraser, learning chart and chalks.

 

VSF over the years has recorded success stories of massive school enrolment in these communities due to VSF intervention in providing educational support materials.
