VSF Donates 2.5KVA Inverter, Medical Equipment to Primary Health Care Centre in Bonta Community, Benue State

The Victims Support Fund (VSF), on 1st July 2022 donated a 2.5KVA Solar Powered Inverter, Wheelchairs, Crank examination Bed and Mattress, pharmaceuticals, and other health equipment to the Primary Health Care Centre in Bonta Community located in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

The Chairperson of VSF Benue State Emergency Programme, Barr Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji at the commissioning and symbolic handover urged the community to guard the equipment jealously and make judicious use of them to receive more assistance from the organization. She stated that the provision of health items to Bonta Primary Health Care Centre was meant to address the challenges faced by members of the community especially women during childbirth.

She appreciated the Chairman of the Victims Support Fund, Lt. Gen T Y Danjuma rtd for ensuring that the Bonta Primary Health Care Centre enjoyed effective healthcare and a 24-hour power supply.

The Executive Secretary of Benue State Primary Healthcare Board, Chief Mrs. Ashiver Wende commended the VSF for the assistance as she advised the people of Bonta to embrace peace to achieve sustainable development.

Recall that the Benue State Emergency Support Programme was launched on the 26th of April 2022. To date, VFS has been distributing hygiene kits and food items including Rice, Maize, Garri, Palm oil, Groundnut oil, Maggi, Salt, Beans, and sugar, often alternated to ensure a balanced diet. Other materials distributed to the benefiting Primary Health Care Centres include tricycles, medical consumables, and non-consumables. The 7 benefiting Local Government Areas include Gwer-West, Logo, Kwande, Ado, Konshisha, Guma, and Oju.
